Sunday: We have no game today and only will train one time in the afternoon. So most of the day will be spent in front of the TV because we have about 40 channels covering all the sports. Also lots of Aussies doing lots of good things today, well beating the Germans anyway (Medal Tally)!!!Last game against the Dutch tomorrow and then it will be time to decompress.

Saturday: Today we lost to the USA in 4 sets. At 1-1 (sets), I/we were confident of going on with the job, only for the team to really struggle in the last 2 sets going down badly. We had huge problems in attack and played some bad defence at times. This afternoon is free apart from a recovery session, which we are all very happy about. Today I got my brother into the village and yesterday my parents came in for the afternoon. We now have one more game against the Dutch, and we better bloody win that.

Thursday: This morning we played Italy at 9am. Given the early game time we were confident of giving the italians some trouble. That we did but unfortunately our defence let us down and we failed to take the oppertunities our block created. We have this afternoon off so I intend on going to the pool and doing some sunbaking and relaxing.

Wednesday: Yesterday we played Russia and lost in 3 sets. but it was a good fight from the team. We had small oppertunities to win 2 of the sets but just couldn't take them. They are just such a big and powerful team, it was so hard for us to stop their attack. Last night we watched Brazil vs Italy which went to 5 sets. While most of the match wasn't great. the 5th set was probably the best set of volleyball I have ever seen. Next we play Italy!!!! Today it a rest day so training in the morning and afternoon.

Tuesday: Today we play Russia at 2pm. After going to 4 sets with Brazil and playing some of our best volleyball we are confident of pushing russia all the way today. This morning we have a stretching session, then and early lunch and rest before the game.

Sunday: (Info von Schranni: Australien (mit Luke auf dem Feld) unterliegt nach einem guten Spiel gegen den Turnierfavoriten Brasilien mit 1:3)

Saturday: Had a sleep in until 10 to get over the marching which was very lucky. We trained from 11:30 to 1, short but a very good and intense session. We are only alloted 1 1hour session and 1 1.5 hour session per day. and today we only used the long one. In the afternoon we meet at the pool in the village and had a recovery session with some weights and swimming. Tomorrow is the big day. we play the best team in the world infront of a sold out crowd of about 14000. Can't wait.

Friday: We trained early and then had the afternoon off to rest and get ready for the opening ceremony (Only four of the team march due to injuries). We left the village around 5:30 to the waiting area where we stayed for about 1.5 hours then we up and heading to the arena. We didnt get to see the rest of the show but I hear it was awsome. We were in the arena for about 2.5 hours in total with the march and flame lighting. Got home around 1am. I thought it was incredible one of the best experiences of my life.
